Stage Solutions helps couples organise their big day by working with them to take care of everything down to the finer details such as decor.  With this is mind, they recently commissioned us to create a large ornate gateway with gold swept detail surround for couples to use on their big day.  The team worked hard on it and we’re very pleased with the result.

Why would you need something flocked? Who knows, but who cares when it makes things look as decadent as it does.

Ever wondered what to do with your old cornet that you never play anymore? Why not give it a funky new look which you can display with pride.

Or why have a telephone that looks like could have bought it anywhere? Make it stand out instead with a soft coat of flock.

And if you want to create a prop with a more luxurious and plush feel; then, instead of a flat paint finish, why not get it flocked instead.

Flock comes in every colour of the rainbow and in a range of lengths and for this reason is incredibly versatile.

Believe it or not even people can be flocked. For a party recently, we were asked to flock a design onto someone’s torso as their costume for the evening. This took body painting to a whole new level and with a fabulous result.

More and more people are getting a buzz out of wire buzzer games… and we’ve made a wide variety over the last few months.  From the standard ones, to backlight ones, to one which was set on a light box that changed colour each time you make a error and also when you won.

We’ve also created some fantastic shapes for the players to follow.  Aside from an array of words, we’ve made outlines of wind turbines, skylines and companies logos.   Pretty much anything goes, so long as it can be created out of one solid length of wire.  Who would have thought the old classic wire buzzer game would make such a good promotional tool.

As part of Puma‘s marketing strategy to include the “after hours athlete”,  this summer they installed a temporary shop front, designed by CRM Business Solutions, to their concept store on Carnaby Street in London.  We were asked to build and install the facade which looked like an oversize snooker table, complete with 4 giant snooker balls spelling out PUMA, a cue chalk and various pint glass stains to complete the authentic “after hours athlete” appearance.

An oversized snooker cue wouldn’t have gone amiss but the idea of trying to sort out planning permission was just too much…

This has got to be one of our favourite jobs so far in 2011 and it has given us a fantastic opportunity to recycle a lot of the spare wood and cardboard from around the workshop.

Enjoy Work approached us recently to create to a few artistic steel structures to have on display at an event they were running at Chiswick Park.  Given that the event was for one day only, we offered to create for them these fantastic pseudo steel structures which would prove to be much more economical as well as being environmental friendly as they were made from recycled bits of wood and cardboard.

Plunge spent a few days in Switzerland recently creating the exhibition stands and reception area for the 2011 International Festival of Media.

We worked with Full Circle to create a number of exhibition stand schemes for sponsors to occupy during the 3 day festival in Montreux. They ranged from a simple 3m x 4m  scheme to a massive 10m long exhibition arena with a gauze screened private area with large globe lights.

The delegates were also greeted by a striking white and pink reception desk created by Plunge.

Remember Crusha? The milkshake goo? Well it’s back with a new range of flavours and we’ve been taking the message to the people.

Plunge have been working with Vibration Music and Concerto Live to create a promotional stand to tour around shopping centres in the UK. They’re giving kids the chance to create fantastical milkshakes in Mr Mixology’s Milkshake Lab. They can choose a milkshake flavour and then add squirty cream and a variety of sprinkles.

Vibration Music designed the bar and oversaw the build and fancy technology required, At Plunge we built the stand, which included a circular bar surrounding a display of retro TVs and a bubbling science lab. We also created low stools and tables for the kids to mix their milkshakes at and two display walls for the product. Then Concerto Live and Vibration ran the installs and promotional weekends. Quite a collaboration.

Our new spray booth has given us the capacity to offer highest quality furniture spraying, giving the MDF units a very hard wearing finish. Our refurbished workshop is allowing us to take on these large builds and still have spare capacity when other jobs come in.

Our crew have been installing the promo arena at a number of venues and the response from the public has been impressive. Kids are loving the Crusha.

Now here’s a dramatic way to reveal a dance floor.

Vibration Music came up with the idea of creating a massive snowflake gateway to hide the dance-floor at Chelsea Marquee during dinner. Then, when dinner was over and it was time to hit the dance-floor, the snowflake gates would open up, revealing the black and white dance-floor beyond.

To make the snowflake wall look more dramatic during dinner it was back-lit in blue with mist coming from the dance-floor.

We created the gates on a steel frame, cutting snowflake shapes from sheet plastic which we then clad to the frames.

The impact was amazing.

We create a lot of cool stuff at Plunge, but this was really cool!

Sim at Vibration Music had dreamt up a ski lodge theme for Chelsea Marquee and don’t ask me why but he wanted a wall of retro televisions.

All we had to do was source the TVs, rip out the old cathode ray tubes and put new LDC screens inside. Then they needed fitting together into a massive vintage television wall. Vibration then linked them all up and played old TV shows on them during drinks receptions.

We didn’t want to let them go to be honest. Everybody should have a retro TV wall in their life.

We’ve made this ski lodge bar and giant stone fireplace prop for Vibration Music‘s installation at Chelsea Marquee for Xmas 2010.

They really helped to transform the space into a funky lunge for drinks receptions.
